Athletics, Health, & Wellness

At Chatham Hall, we are committed to teaching, modeling, and inspiring wellness across our campus in every dimension—physical, social, environmental, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, occupational, and financial.

From Rendering to Reality

List of 3 items.

  • Holistic Wellness

We believe in taking a holistic approach among the students in our care, so they can thrive in all of their endeavors and build healthy habits for life. Right now, with a full roster of competitive sports offerings, our varsity and junior varsity teams can’t practice at the same times. Right now, our buildings cannot accommodate the level of interest in desire our girls have for lifetime fitness. And so, we are left to have yoga (our most popular choice) in the lecture hall and keep cardio machines in Dabney basement.
  • Modernized Facilities

We must upgrade our athletics facilities in order to enhance and fortify the student experience. But further, we will also use this moment to become trailblazers and architects of the way schools integrate health care, athletic training, and wellness programs. This is our opportunity not just to bring our current facilities up to speed, but to define a new standard for schools everywhere.
  • Intentional Construction

The new Athletic, Health, and Wellness Center offers a thoughtfully constructed space that integrates health care services, physical fitness and training, competitive sports, counseling services, and wellness programming.

Every square foot of the space reflects a bold commitment to whole-girl education. Faculty, coaches, counselors, and students alike will come together here not only to build strong bodies but to foster strong minds and spirits. Our health and counseling center, our flexible movement studios, and our state-of-the-art athletic spaces work together to support every dimension of student wellness.
This is more than a building. It is a launchpad for confidence, for competition, for community. Here, young women will sweat, strive, and soar. They’ll push limits in the gym, center themselves in the yoga studio, and connect deeply in spaces designed for wellness and reflection.

The building is open, but our work continues. To fully realize its potential, we must secure the resources that will sustain and elevate the athletic, health, and wellness facility for generations to come.
