  • Holistic Wellness

From the outset of this campaign, we affirmed our belief in a holistic approach to the girls in our care, one that empowers them to thrive in every endeavor and build healthy habits for life. At that time, our facilities could not keep pace with the enthusiasm and demand for athletics and wellness programming. Varsity and junior varsity teams were unable to practice simultaneously, yoga classes met in whatever space was available at the time, and cardio equipment lived in the basement of Dabney.

Today, thanks to extraordinary generosity and vision, the new Wagoner-LaDuke Center provides permanent, purpose-built spaces that elevate and strengthen our signature programming. This transformative facility now matches the energy, ambition, and commitment of our girls.

To fully realize its promise, we must now complete the work of funding and endowing this space, ensuring it remains vibrant, innovative, and accessible for generations of Chatham Hall students to come.
  • Modernized Facilities

At the beginning of this campaign, we recognized the urgent need to upgrade our athletics facilities to strengthen and elevate the student experience. We also saw a larger opportunity to become trailblazers in how schools thoughtfully integrate health care, athletic training, and comprehensive wellness programming.

Today, that vision has become reality. We now have a state-of-the-art health care center, a dedicated athletic training facility, and thoughtfully designed offices for mental health and wellness, all working together to support the whole girl. These purpose-built spaces have transformed the way we care for and champion our students. Today, the Wagoner-LaDuke Center for Athletics, Health and Wellness stands as the largest building in Chatham Hall’s history - a transformational space at the heart of student life.

But bold vision requires responsible stewardship. Now, we must ensure this integrated model remains innovative, accessible, and fully sustained. By completing the funding and endowment of these spaces, we will secure this new standard of excellence for generations of Chatham Hall girls.
  • Intentional Construction

The Wagoner-LaDuke Center for Athletics, Health and Wellness offers a thoughtfully constructed space that integrates health care services, physical fitness and training, competitive sports, counseling services, and wellness programming.

Every square foot of the space reflects a bold commitment to whole-girl education. That commitment was shaped by two extraordinary educators - Jeanne Wagoner and Cathy “La” LaDuke. For generations, Miss Wagoner and La taught our students that strength is built through discipline, teamwork, and courage. Their lessons still echo across campus.

Faculty, coaches, counselors, and students alike come together here not only to build strong bodies but to foster strong minds and spirits. Our health and counseling center, our flexible movement studios, and our state-of-the-art athletic spaces work together to support every dimension of student wellness.

Wag-La is where confidence is built.
    Where resilience is practiced.
    Where leadership takes root.
Where girls learn to become strong, well women.
This is more than a building. It is a launchpad for confidence, for competition, for community. Here, young women sweat, strive, and soar. They push limits in the gym, center themselves in the yoga studio, and connect deeply in spaces designed for wellness and reflection.

The Wagoner-LaDuke Center for Athletics, Health and Wellness is open, but our work continues. To fully realize its potential, we must secure the resources that will sustain and elevate this facility for generations to come.
