Since 1894, Chatham Hall has been equipping curious thinkers to lead lives of impact and step into their boundless potential by encouraging our girls to choose courage over comfort, to ignite the light for others, to appreciate the journey, to do the right thing, and to be their best selves.
When we invest in bold ideas, we create bold futures.
Boundless Potential: The Campaign for Chatham Hall ensures that we continue our mission for generations to come by funding the renovations and enhancement of student and faculty living spaces, fully funding the construction of the new Athletics, Health, and Wellness Center, endowing programs, securing financial longevity, and boosting annual gifts, which strengthen the Chatham Hall experience.

At Chatham Hall, we dare to dream boldly. Our board made a bold decision to invest in this vision. Our families make a bold choice in choosing a school that empowers girls. And our donors? They’ve boldly stood with us, making this transformative space a reality. For years, we imagined a place that would reflect the strength, resilience, and boundless potential of our students. Today, we step into that vision—together.

What inspired you to do the Carter Gate project? I got interested in doing the gate because several years ago, Chatham Hall hired a consulting firm to do a master plan of the entire campus and one of the things that we found out was that Google Maps was routing people to the School through the back entrance.
Why do you make philanthropic contributions to Chatham Hall?
There are many reasons my wife and I make philanthropic contributions to this beloved school! My wife is a graduate, Class of 1968, and loves Chatham Hall. We have had a long association with the School.
Why do you make philanthropic contributions to Chatham Hall? I support Chatham Hall because I love it. I love the opportunity it provides for the girls, and the families of the girls to see how their child can grow and benefit from an all-girls education. I truly believe in women and the power of women.
Together we will be the community in which girls can discover their best selves, define and achieve personal success, create and care for community, and learn to sustain a lifetime of well-being along the way.
